The hardware you are going to use comes from the Hornetbox.
This box is equipped with all the necessary parts.
A box is always managed by the teacher.
And only if the teacher gives permission to take a component out of the box can you do so.
If you encounter any damage while using a component or if you damage something, report it to the teacher.
Below, we will go through all the components.
The drone.
You could say that the drone is the most important component.
But with drones, all components are important.
This is because all components are needed to achieve a working whole.
The drone we use is specially designed for education and is not the same drone you could buy on the well-known Chinese websites.
This drone is specially designed to be programmed via our block programme. Therefore, this drone does not fly the same as the FLY.
The remote.
This is the only part you don't need for flying through the software.
The remote comes with it to possibly fly without programming, but as mentioned, this drone is designed for block programming, and therefore it responds delayed to the remote.
The battery.
Actually, this is the most important component of the system.
The battery determines the flight time and also how fast the drone responds. If the battery runs out quickly, you can only fly for a short time.
And if a battery can only release a little energy at a time, then you can't make the drone fly fast either.
These two things are linked. If you load the battery heavily, it will run down quickly. But if you load the battery gently then you can fly much longer.
The trick is to programme all your flying movements so that you can fly everything with 1 battery. We will come back to this further in the lessons.
Be careful if your battery bulges. Then you should set it aside and report it to the teacher. The teacher will determine whether this battery may continue to be used.
Batteries that bulge and feel like they have air in them should be removed from the box right away. These are batteries that have been dropped, for example. Whereby the internal structure is damaged. And this can be dangerous. You should therefore separate this battery and report it to the teacher.
